About Halkidiki - Welcome to Anna Karra
About Halkidiki
Halkidiki is a large peninsula in northern Greece, just a few km south of Thessaloniki, the second largest city of the country. This large peninsula ends in three smaller peninsulas: Kassandra, Sithonia and Mount Athos.
While Mount Athos is a monastic community where no entrance is allowed, except with special permission and only to men, Kassandra and Sithonia are tourist-developed places. There you will find beaches with crystal water, lovely villages, archaeological sites and various entertainment options, from beach bars that stay open all night till secluded fish taverns by the sea.
With a coastline of 550 km, Halkidiki has the best beaches in Greece. Sandy or pebbled, organized or remote, all beaches are clean and they are surrounded by gorgeous nature. In some tourist villages, you can also practice summer sports, such as water sports, sailing or scuba diving.
